Ready to receive?

Which one do you like more, giving gifts or receiving them?

I’ve heard so many stories of how people enjoy giving gifts to others and everything that goes into it – the planning of what to get, going to get it, wrapping it nicely and preparing a card to go with it.

Usually the best part, though, is the actual moment of giving the gift.

So much thought has been put into the gift to make the recipient happy.

But what happens if the recipient gets a bit uncomfortable at receiving the gift?

It does take some of the joy of giving away, doesn’t it?

How do you feel when receiving gifts? Do you enjoy it? Or does it feel uncomfortable? Would you rather avoid it altogether and not make a big deal out of it?

If you’re saying something along the lines of ‘oh, you shouldn’t have’ or ‘I don’t need anything’, you for sure have some work to do in terms of receiving.

This doesn’t apply only to gifts, though. This applies to receiving anything in life. Especially good things.

Most of my clients hone the game of asking by now. Meaning, they’re extremely good at setting goals and clarifying their dreams.

But when it comes to receiving, the game gets a bit tricky.

Many are more willing to ‘work hard’ for what they ask, or to ‘do whatever it takes’ than to actually being open to receive it.

What’s the difference?

The difference is in the action taken.

Are you holding yourself back by inability to receive?

Much love,
Paula
