Have you ever gotten lost in the details? Or overwhelmed by big plans?
I know.
Me too.
When you’re deep in the details, especially if the focus is on what’s not yet working, you might completely forget how awesome you and your life actually are!
Or instead, if you’re too far in the future and the big picture, you lose touch with the present moment and don’t know what to do next or where to start.
Either one isn’t a fun state to be in or to create life from.
When not feeling good, people often give most of their attention, if not all of it, to things and matters that are quite not ok in their lives.
When you’re completely focused on what’s not yet working out for you, it’s easy to start making generalizations that nothing’s working. Like on those days when you’ve gotten up on the wrong side of the bed, so to say.
Your attention is drawn to things that don’t work, even though there are at the same time as many, if not even more, things that do actually work out for you.
Of course, the opposite holds true as well, so if you focus on what’s working, that’s what you filter in, too.
Now which one do you think is better?
To filter in the good or to filter in the bad?
What are your experiences on this?
Listen to mine in episode 11 of The Insights Within Podcast.
Much love,
